Eiting Anlyse

Some of the basics things to do in premiere pro is to import the footage into the programme. The first thing to do is to change the file name of the footage to “mpg” this is so the computer can recognise it. Then you need to go file- import then you select the film file. This will put the footage in an area called the “bin”. This is where you can move it to the work bar or view it by double clicking on it. When you have found the right clip you can drag it to the “work bar” it is the bar at the bottom of the window. This is where you can put the clips from the “bin” in order and edit them. You can do the same with audio clips as well by importing the sound or music in to the “bin” and then dragging them to the audio part of the “work bar”.Then if you need to cut or trim the clip there is a tool that can help you. When you get it there will be a red line that pops up. The cutting tool will cut across this line cutting the video and the audio if they are not unlinked. To add things like effects visual and audio there is a folder under the “bin”. There will be different tabs that have transitions, visual effects and audio effect. The way to use them is to drag and drop them over the video clip or audio. You can them trim them by hovering near the edge of the effect and then moving them to the length that you want.

One of the things that have been changed is the scene that has the flashback in it. The things that were changed were the colour of the clip so it was different from the rest of the film. The speed had been changed to. The speed was faster at the beginning of the scene and then towards the end of the scene it slowed down and then faded to white to show that it was over. There was also no sound on the scene and there was a sound effect that was added to give it a sub-real feeling about it. There is also the dinner scene that had to have music that sounded like it was coming from a radio in it. There was music in the background that was put under the speech and was made to sound quieter. There was a problem that the first time that it was filmed that audio was too quiet and had to be re-film. This was because the footage that had been filmed first could not be improved to make it more louder in the editing stage and then had to be re-filmed. But when re-filming the mic broke and we had to use the inbuilt mic on the camera. Also in the dinner scene some of the conversion was cut shorter and the audio stretched over to the over camera shot to give the conversion more of a flow. This was only done on cretin parts in the conversion so it did not look impropriate for the scene or like the audio was out of sync.

This is the editing analyse about what I edited in the children’s drama. I edited one scent that was the dinner scene and also I when over the hole finished film. I also helped with the beginning and end credits. What I did for the dinner scene is I went throw the clips to get the right clips and the outtakes. Then I looked for the clips and put them in order. There is also the title sequin and to get it we got a clip of “YouTube” and put the names of the main actors over the top with the name of it. There is the music as well that I helped to edit. The different parts with the music are the intro, dinner, second part of training and the end credits. The music that we put over in the in the dinner scene is to sound like the radio in the background. To do this I lower the volume of the music and the amount of sound that is put out. This is done for the over scenes as well but more so the music can be heard. There is a part at the end scene where there is a sound effect and then the music over the top. The sound effect made the scene have more atmosphere and tension to the flashback. Then there is the music kicks in and then the credits appear. There is the training scene with the music that brings up the atmosphere from the training and what is happening.
